Dynatech Furnaces historically has always prepared itself for future customer requirements and as part of this continuing approach and philosophy, Dynatech is gearing itself up for the stringent requirements and demands that the tools, dies and mold companies will be requesting, as they re-organize and strategize their resurging North American business.

As one of America`s smallest but experienced Vacuum Furnace manufacturer (since 1999), Dynatech has had extensive exposure and experience with the sophisticated needs of Vacuum Hardening & Tempering of tool steel material – dies, molds and tools that will be demanded by a resurgent North American tooling industry.

Specifically for tool steel hardening & tempering requirement, Dynatech has prepared itself with the following features and facilities:

Dynatech is fully qualified and experienced with Graphite Hot Zone Insulation & Heater design, manufacture and assembly – understanding the unique strengths of this insulation and heater system. Dynatech has pioneered the “Fit & Forget” Graphite Hot Zone design that has stood the reliability with time
Dynatech designs furnaces for use upto 2,400 F (1,320 C)
Entire Hot Zone of Dynatech vacuum furnace is faced with CFC panels which enables minimal, if not, zero maintenance of it’s hot zones, as a standard feature
Dynatech vacuum furnace vessels are designed and manufactured as per ASME Sec VIII Div 1 U Code Stamped
Dynatech provides double walled carbon steel and stainless steel vessels
Dynatech vacuum furnace are equipped with internal heat exchanger and quench fan with motor
Dynatech is fully geared to come up to the demanding leak tightness requirements of the vacuum furnaces for tool steel hardening & tempering requirement – it has demonstrated vacuum leak rates of upto 1 micron/ Hour
Dynatech is familiar and has designed vacuum furnaces that meet or exceed specifications like GM DC-9999-1, Ford AMTD-2710, NADCA, AMS 2769A, AMS 2759/7 A etc.
Dynatech uniquely provides complete NADAC compliance with reference to quench rate guarantee and uniformity
Dynatech vacuum furnaces comply with AMS 2750 D Pyrometry
Dynatech has sufficient experience and expertise in design, manufacture and maintenance of high Vacuum requirements of the tool steel hardening & tempering needs (order of 10-5 torr or better)
Dynatech vacuum furnaces provide unique features and facilities specially aimed at meeting or exceeding tool steel dies & molds specific requirements like distortion, hardness, uniformity etc.
Dynatech vacuum furnaces provide Isothermal Quench facility with unique mar quench features to ensure grain structure and also minimize distortion of differing profiles of tools and dies
Dynatech vacuum heat treat furnaces provide inert gas pressure quench facility upto 10-bar (a), as a standard feature
Dynatech vacuum furnaces provide partial pressure facility, as a standard feature
Dynatech`s unique quench gas flow adjustability and flexibility (with only pneumatic movements) enables customers to adjust quench gas flow patterns to suit loading density and component geometry & profiles
Dynatech`s unique electrical feedthrough design ensures that the feedthorughs do not allow high current arcing at the feedthorughs and thus provide a long lasting feedthrough connection
Dynatech “Fit & Forget” Graphite Hot Zone also provides the lowest steady state heat loss figures of under 5 watts/ sq. inch at 2,200 F (1,200 C) operating temperature and lower values at lower temperatures
All Dynatech vacuum furnaces are provided with PC based SCADA Control System and or with Touch Screen Control System with Remote Access and Trouble Shoot facility
